This conference is a first. The Australasian Corrosion Association and the Australian Institute for Non- Destructive Testing, two of the major associations concerned with the control, measurement and mitigation of corrosion are joining forces to provide an extensive program to all our delegates. Our aim is to provided an industry focused program where delegates can avail them selves of one of the many one day sessions targeted to provide a broad cross-section of papers relative to their industry while not being as demanding on their time to attend the full program.

Our associations are concerned with the provision of resources, technical training, technical journals, technical meetings, and conferences, advice, referrals, specialty publications and online resources to expand the knowledge base of our industries

Invitation from the Chairman

It is exciting to be a part of program where two like-minded associations can join together for a conference where the benefits to those who chose to attend will be much greater that what we can offer independently.

While we both have had great conferences in the past, the synergy of CCNDT03 will surpass all those that have gone before us with industry focused technical program and a social program in one of the most livable cities in the world to provide those memories we will cherish forever.

As chairman of the conference I am privileged to formally invite you to attend and I guarantee the committee putting this conference together will work tirelessly to ensure you have a great time and you get the maximum benefits of our technical program. Get out your diary (hard copy or electronic) and schedule to be in Melbourne just 3 weeks after the 2003 Melbourne Cup and the day after the Final of the 2003 Rugby World Cup (in Sydney) so you don’t miss out on the Corrosion Control And Nondestructive Testing Conference, which will set the benchmark for the millennium.

Partner Program

A fun-filled and informal program is being structured to highlight the culture, cuisine and shops of Melbourne and the surrounding regions. Also included in the program will be the welcome function on Sunday night and the Conference and Awards dinner on Tuesday night.

Social Program

There will be a substantial delegates and partners social program, to ensure the maximum opportunity to network with colleagues, and to learn a little more of Melbourne and Victoria’s best wines and attractions.

Australian Institute for Non-Destructive Testing

AINDT was founded in 1963 to promote the discipline of non-destructive testing as a profession, to advance the practices and benefits of NDT on national and international levels as well as facilitate the exchange of information between members, industry and the community. It also provides services for the certification of NDT personnel to AS 3998/ISO 9712 and is a leader in this field in our region. More details can be found at www.aindt.asn.au
